MADISON INVESTMENT ADVISORS: PHASE ONE
Madison, Wisconsin
This is a 2 story (22,000 s.f.) office building for a growing national investment company. The angled plan configuration places each wing adjacent to a stand of trees. The wings contain the private offices and open office spaces. Their juncture is a confluence of conference rooms. The main conference room cantilevers to the woods and opens to the prairie. The building is embedded into the slope, minimizing disruption of the site. This provides full access to daylight on the north elevation, while allowing a modest scale on the south. The entrance bridge begins a transitional sequence through the building to a contemplative setting in nature.

MADISON INVESTMENT ADVISORS: PHASE TWO
As the investment firm grew, the need for additional office and conference space became apparent. The addition features 2 story annex of 11,000 s.f. for a financial services company. The annex building and original building are connected by a winding corridor, which pulls a cohesive design aesthetic between the two builds. The new wing provides views out to a pine forest on the northwest corner of the site, evoking similar views out to the surrounding nature as was enhanced in the original building.
