BUILDING FOR A COLLECTOR
Rock County, Wisconsin
Utilizing wood pegged timber frame construction, this design creates an authentic barn experience through the assemblage of features drawn from various barns we have known. It’s construction is a demonstration of woodbuilders craft, and includes a foundation built of “farmer’s concrete” in the manner of the earlier agricultural structures.
The barn is nestled in the forested edge of a hill, much as was done historically throughout rural Wisconsin.
The facility will house a private collection of motorized vehicles and a shop for their repair and restoration.
