UNIVERSITY of WISCONSIN-MADISON - GOODMAN SOFTBALL COMPLEX
Madison, Wisconsin
UW-Madison built a new home for their Division I softball program thanks to a generous gift from local businessmen and brothers Irv and Bob Goodman.
Nicknamed the “Goodman Diamond”, the complex features seating for over 1,600 spectators, bringing the fans close to the action on the field. A mezzanine level provides services, including a ticket office, restrooms and concessions. Lower level team facilities include locker rooms, training spaces, offices and storage. Allowances were made for future field lighting as well as for a canopy structure over all seating areas.
KEE Architecture worked closely with the UW Athletic Department staff and coaches during facility programming and throughout the design process.
