UNIVERSITY of WISCONSIN-GREEN BAY - UNIVERSITY CENTER
Green Bay, Wisconsin
The UW-Green Bay University Center project included remodeling (19,000 SF) and expansion (18,000 SF) of the existing University Union building, which had seen incremental growth since opening in 1977.
Renovation was extensive, including interior demolition, upgraded mechanical/electrical systems, new food-service equipment and interior finishes in Club (dining and recreation), Lounge, and Marketplace areas.
The building addition includes dining seating, bookstore, information/ID office, new entries, lounges and a UW Credit Union branch.
Remodeling projects, particularly in occupied buildings, are challenging. KEE Architecture worked closely with the design team, UW-Green Bay and DFD to envision the project-from start to finish, in ways that proved successful all stakeholders.
