UNIVERSITY RIDGE GOLF COURSE CLUBHOUSE & PAVILION
Madison, Wisconsin
Additions and alterations to the University Ridge Golf Course clubhouse represent an important effort to bring the support facilities on the highly regarded 18-hole course up to par with the golf experience. The building includes an expanded pro shop, dining area, kitchen, restrooms, and offices as well as new parking and seating areas overlooking the course.
Building forms and materials were derived from the dramatic wooded site and from adjacent structures. The building, with generous overhangs to provide shelter for golfers, uses natural wood and sandblasted concrete as primary materials.
KEE Architecture also provided master planning for future facilities and construction of a free-standing covered pavilion adjacent to the clubhouse.
